Fall Color Palette

This shirt truly is my perfect choice for end summer/beginning of fall styling This knit sweater polo is a bit heavier than the other summer options that I bought from Percival, and has the seasonal color scheme perfectly on lock.

September is always a tough month for style. As NYFW is in full swing with where style will be going, it is always a conundrum on what is going on now. For us (in Texas) the weather still ends up in the 90’s most afternoons, but there is an inherent pull to begin to layer and lean into fall. As someone who is much more comfortable with cooler temperatures, I have to pace myself by not going straight into a hoodie and jacket the moment Labor Day is over.

So, one way that I deal with this transition is with color. Although it does seem obviously, color is the quickest way you can set a mood but without forfeiting all comfort. In this case, a darker color way feels more “September appropriate” as compared to the same shirt in a different color. This way, you can embrace fall as it comes (even if not as fast as you would like) and not greatly increase your dry cleaning or laundry.
