Spring Backpacking

Carry on this spring with a little less formality and opt for a less traditional bag: the backpack. It can easily transport your daily needs comfortably on your commute, and have taken a definite designer update since your elementary school days. I’m partial to this one from the Studio Collection from Herschel Supply Co. for the sleek and simple black, but also love the bold zipper and leather contrast in this one from Ben Minkoff.

A few of my other favorites are here below.

The Sartorialist

Gone are the days of puffer coats and vests being synonymous with obnoxious colors and family friendly holiday gatherings. This year’s puffer recruits are sleek, stylish, and of course warm. Under a blazer or as your final layering piece, the puffer adds  great variety to any winter wardrobe.

Joggers from High Snobiety

Joggers from Nordstrom

With Labor Day come and gone, don’t be afraid to cinch it up a bit. Joggers are one of the best ways to add some versatility to  your everyday wear. Toughen things up with the street-style aesthetic of black or keep things a bit softer in varying shades of neutral. There are some great designers heading up this style right now (Zanerobe & Publish Brand are my two favorites) and even places like J. Crew and Gap are paying attention, so believe me that you will continue to see joggers all the way into spring.
