So we have officially made it through the first week of spring, and I, for one, am here for it. After a few months of wearing a ton of layers and a coat, it is nice to keep things a little lighter. This jacket has been the perfect weight and color for the cooler mornings, but also easy to lose later in the day as it starts to warm up. Paired with a easy chino and printed short sleeve shirt, it makes for the perfect spring ready get-up.
Speaking of printed shirts, it is now open season on the short sleeve button down extravaganza. For the longest time, the short sleeve button down felt way too much like Dwight Schrute or a dad from the 80’s, but I would say that in the past 4 years or so, this casual spring update has become a closet staple from March through September. You can find prints as bold as you are comfortable wearing (I feel like I’m playing it pretty safe here in this one from Ted Baker) and bring a little bit of the beach vacation vibe to your 9-5.
I have taken a bit of a hiatus through the winter on the blog to settled into parenthood. Now that she is a little older and we have a better idea of what a day in the life is like, I’m hopeful to start posting more content throughout this spring. Thanks for sticking around 😉
